The arrival of a commercial department signals our intent to deliver our transformational science, globally. Where are our patients? How do we access those markets in an equitable way? As you might imagine, we’re out and about a fair bit, meeting key people. It’s our job to close the gap between our medicine and the patient’s access to it, whether that be through education and awareness, dealing with bureaucracy and law or making the economics work – we’re measured on delivery. If our medicine can’t get to patients, is any of it worth it?
